Mangaluru, Jun 24: Manipal School, Mangaluru, held its investiture ceremony for the Academic Year 2026–27 with great pride and solemnity at the Marena Sports Complex, Attavar, on June 20. The ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Cabinet and reaffirmed the school’s commitment to nurturing leadership, responsibility, and service among its students.
The programme was graced by Dr Sheetal D Ullal, Associate dean (research) and professor of pharmacology, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Mangaluru, as the chief guest, and Dr Sreedhara Ranganath K Pai, administrative officer, Academy of General Education, Manipal, as the guest of honour. Also present on the occasion were PTA president Sachin K J, vice president Sunita Furtado, principal Srilatha Alva, vice principal Shilpa Moger, headmistress Sapna Shetty, and members of the teaching staff, whose presence added significance to the ceremony and reflected the collective support extended to the newly inducted student leaders.






























The ceremony commenced with a ceremonial guard of honour, followed by an invocation and the traditional lighting of the lamp. The newly elected student leaders then marched in a formal procession and were invested with badges of office. The school captain, vice-captain, house captains, house vice-captains, speaker, and members of various school committees took the Oath of Office, pledging to uphold the values and traditions of the institution with dedication and integrity.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Sheetal D Ullal congratulated the newly elected student leaders and highlighted that true leadership is rooted in character, humility, integrity, and responsibility. She encouraged the students to lead by example, foster teamwork, and embrace every opportunity for learning and growth.
Guest of honour Dr Sreedhara Ranganath K Pai urged the student leaders to discharge their duties with sincerity, accountability, and commitment, emphasizing the importance of responsible leadership in shaping the future.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, the singing of the national anthem, and a commemorative group photograph. The investiture ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter of student leadership at Manipal School, inspiring the young leaders to serve the school community with dedication, honour, and a strong sense of responsibility.
