Good news for K'taka transport employees: Hiked salary to be credited from this month

Bengaluru, Jul 2: The state government has brought good news to transport workers by finally implementing a salary hike. The basic pay of employees across the four state transport corporations — KSRTC, BMTC, NWKRTC, and KKRTC — has been increased by 12.5%, and the revised salary will be credited to their bank accounts starting this month.

The wage revision has been implemented with retrospective effect from April 1, 2025. The government has also already released the first installment of the pending salary arrears to be paid to the employees.

This pay hike will benefit approximately 1.05 lac transport employees across the state, bringing an additional financial burden of Rs 72.80 crore per month on the government. The order for the wage hike was initiated by transport minister Ramalinga Reddy.
