Lucknow, Jul 5: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin held a series of meetings with NDA allies and senior party leaders in Lucknow over the weekend as part of the party's outreach and organisational strengthening campaign ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

During his two-day visit, Nabin interacted with leaders from BJP's alliance partners as well as former state BJP presidents, with discussions focusing on reinforcing the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), expanding the party's grassroots network, and preparing a coordinated strategy for the upcoming Assembly polls.

Expressing confidence in the party's electoral prospects, Nabin said the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, would return to power in Uttar Pradesh for a third consecutive term with an even larger mandate than before.

He asserted that the NDA would register a record-breaking victory in the 2027 elections, adding that the alliance was working in close coordination to secure a decisive mandate from the people of the state.

Nabin said the BJP and its allies were committed to transforming Uttar Pradesh into an "Uttam Pradesh" and highlighted the work carried out by both the Central and state governments since 2017 in the areas of infrastructure development, governance and law and order.

"Our leaders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, have worked with a spirit of public service. We are fully confident that the NDA alliance will form the government with a thumping majority in the 2027 Assembly elections," he said.

Taking a swipe at the Samajwadi Party's 'PDA' campaign, Nabin alleged that the Opposition was attempting to influence voters through caste-based politics and unrealistic promises. He claimed that the electorate had recognised these tactics and would continue to support the BJP-led alliance.

Apart from political engagements, Nabin also met noted litterateurs and artists at the Hazratganj residence of Padma Shri awardee and author Vidya Bindu Singh, where he interacted with members of the cultural community.

His visit began with a tea meeting involving former BJP state presidents, during which senior leaders reviewed the party's organisational preparedness and discussed strategies for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
