Roshan Kanakala’s sci-fi entertainer begins production with temple launch ceremony

Hyderabad, Jul 10: A new high-concept science-fiction entertainer starring Roshan Kanakala officially commenced production on Friday with a traditional pooja ceremony held at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Kakatiya Hills.

The film marks the directorial debut of Vijay K. Kamisetty, who has previously worked as Chief Associate Director and dialogue writer with filmmaker VI Anand on several successful Telugu films.

The muhurtham ceremony witnessed actor Nikhil giving the inaugural clap for the first shot, while noted cinematographer K.K. Senthil Kumar switched on the camera. Director VI Anand formally handed over the script to the team and directed the ceremonial opening shot, extending his blessings to the project.

According to the makers, the film will feature Roshan Kanakala and Gahazy in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Satya, Sudarsha, Ravi and Teja Nannimala, among others.

Vijay K. Kamisetty has been closely associated with VI Anand for several years and has contributed to films such as "Tiger," "Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada," "Okka Kshanam," and "Disco Raja." With this project, he takes charge of the screenplay, dialogues and direction.

The story has been written by VI Anand, who is known for his work in the fantasy and science-fiction genre in Telugu cinema. The makers describe the upcoming film as a blend of fantasy, romance, comedy, mystery and science fiction, promising a visually rich cinematic experience.

The project is being produced by Balaji Gutta and Koushik Reddy under the Gutta Productions banner in association with Kamalakar Film Corporation.

The technical crew includes music composer Sekhar Chandra, cinematographer Anvesh Varala, editor Chota K. Prasad and production designer Brahma Kadali. Tharun Reddy serves as co-producer, while VI Anand and Anusha Veluswamy are the creative producers. Bandi Bhaskar and Shailendra Kumar have been appointed executive producers.

With pre-production progressing as planned, the makers are expected to begin the film's regular shooting schedule in the coming weeks.
