Kurnool, Jul 21: Ravi Shetty (43), general manager of HOPCOMS, Mangaluru, was killed in a road accident near Mantralayam in Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool district in the early hours of Tuesday, July 21.
According to reports, Ravi Shetty had travelled to Mantralayam along with his friends to offer prayers at the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple. While they were travelling on the national highway, the car reportedly lost control and crashed into a divider.

Ravi Shetty died on the spot, while three others sustained serious injuries. The injured have been identified as Pradeep Alva of Mangaluru, Purushotham Bhandary, and CA Sudesh Rai.
According to the police, Ravi Shetty and his friends were on their way to visit the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple when the car they were travelling in went out of control near Mantralayam and rammed into a culvert. The impact of the collision was so severe that Ravi Shetty died on the spot.
The other three occupants of the car sustained grievous injuries and were admitted to hospital. Local residents immediately rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to the Government Hospital in Emmiganur, where they are undergoing treatment.
Police, who reached the spot after receiving information about the accident, conducted an inspection and registered a case. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
