That decision gave birth to Gulf Medical College, the UAE's first private medical college, today recognised as the No. 1 private medical university in the Gulf, with students from over 111 nationalities.

Research became a priority, with Gulf Medical University now investing AED 10 million annually in grants. Thumbay Medicity Ajman, spread over 25 acres, stands as the clearest expression of his vision. The upcoming Thumbay Medicity Dubai will create 1,000 jobs, alongside the region's first private integrated psychiatric and rehabilitation hospital in Sharjah, Thumbay Vetrinary Hospital and State of the Art Thumbay International Research Center in Ajman.
