Mumbai, Jul 22: The upcoming season of Bigg Boss is set to make history with the reality show launching simultaneously in six Indian languages for the first time.

Breaking away from its traditional staggered release across regional markets, JioStar will roll out the latest seasons of Bigg Boss in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Bengali, offering viewers a unified nationwide launch.

A major highlight of this year's announcement is the return of Bigg Boss Bangla, nearly a decade after it last aired. The Bengali edition had debuted in 2013, even before the Kannada version, with veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty hosting the inaugural season. The second season, hosted by Bengali actor Jeet, was telecast in 2016, after which the show went off air.

The revived third season of Bigg Boss Bangla will now be hosted by former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, adding to the excitement surrounding its comeback.

Meanwhile, the Malayalam edition will enter its eighth season with Mohanlal returning as host. Salman Khan will continue to host the Hindi version, Vijay Sethupathi will anchor the Tamil edition, Nagarjuna will return for the Telugu version, while Kichcha Sudeep will once again host the Kannada edition.

With all six versions scheduled to begin around the same time, the move marks one of the biggest expansions of the Bigg Boss franchise and is expected to provide audiences with a unique multilingual entertainment experience while strengthening JioStar's presence in regional television and digital entertainment.
