Udupi, Jul 25: A class 8 student who had been missing for the past five days was traced at the KSRTC bus stand in Udupi by the district's Akka Squad personnel during a swift operation and was later handed over to the women police station.
According to police, the Udupi District Control Room alerted the Akka Squad about the missing schoolboy. Upon receiving the information, the squad immediately launched a search operation to trace him.
During checks near the Udupi KSRTC bus stand, the personnel noticed that the missing boy was travelling on a bus bound for Muddebihal.
The team immediately intercepted the bus, safely took the boy into custody, and handed him over to the women's police station for further legal proceedings, police said.
