Orange alert issued for coastal districts on Jul 29 as rain intensifies

Udupi, Jul 28: With the 'Pushya Nakshatra' rains intensifying across coastal Karnataka, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the region.

According to the weather forecast, heavy rainfall is expected in several parts of Karnataka, including the coastal belt, on July 29. The meteorological department has warned of widespread heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

In the wake of the intensified rainfall, an orange alert has been specifically declared for the three coastal districts of Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, and Uttara Kannada.
