New Delhi, Jul 30: Defying conventional educational paths, a 25-year-old woman from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has scripted a phenomenal success story in the global tech landscape. Harshita Arora, who left formal schooling at the age of 15, is now the co-founder of AtoB, a fintech enterprise valued at Rs 7,000 crore. Adding to her string of achievements, she recently made history as the youngest general partner at Y Combinator, the world-renowned startup accelerator.
Arora’s trajectory shifted dramatically when she was 13 and developed a keen interest in app development and coding. Convinced that standard classroom education was hindering her practical learning, she made the bold choice to drop out in the eighth grade.

Dedicating her time to mastering programming independently, she launched the 'Crypto Price Tracker' app when she was just 16. The application's immense popularity across North America led to its successful acquisition and earned her the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar from prime minister Narendra Modi in 2020.
Leveraging an O-1 visa—a category reserved for individuals with exceptional abilities—Arora relocated to San Francisco. In 2019, she teamed up with Vignan Velivela and Tushar Misra to launch a new venture. While their initial business concept faltered during the Covid-19 pandemic, the trio pivoted their focus after extensively interacting with truck drivers at rest stops across California.
This grassroots research resulted in the birth of AtoB. Designed to streamline payments, fuel cards, and fleet management for the logistics sector, the platform is now utilised by over 30,000 trucking fleets in the United States, processing massive volumes of daily transactions.
Her visionary leadership secured her a place on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2023 and paved the way for her rapid ascent at Y Combinator. Transitioning from a visiting partner late last year to a general partner by early 2026, Arora now stands as a prominent decision-maker in Silicon Valley's venture capital ecosystem.
