Panaji, Jul 31: The Goa Crime Branch, in coordination with the Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau (TGANB), has arrested an absconding accused allegedly linked to an interstate Ganja trafficking network.
The investigation began after the Crime Branch seized 812 grams of Ganja worth around Rs 80,000 during an operation in Goa. During the subsequent probe, investigators gathered intelligence about a suspect allegedly involved in coordinating the supply of Ganja into the state while evading arrest.

Acting on the shared intelligence, the Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau traced and apprehended the accused in Telangana. Following this, the Goa Crime Branch formally took him into custody.
Police termed the arrest a significant breakthrough in efforts to dismantle the interstate narcotics network operating across state borders.
Further investigation is underway to identify other persons allegedly involved in the drug supply chain and uncover additional links in the network.
