Mangaluru, July 31: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), one of India's leading energy companies, has launched Bharatgas Lite ZIP, a premium Free Trade LPG (FTL) service designed to transform the customer experience through instant new LPG connections and express cylinder delivery in Mangaluru.
The new offering combines the benefits of the lightweight Bharatgas Lite composite LPG cylinder with a digitally enabled, customer-centric service model aimed at providing faster onboarding, quicker deliveries and enhanced convenience.
Launching the initiative, BPCL said Bharatgas Lite ZIP marks a significant step towards creating a future-ready LPG ecosystem by offering customers the convenience of instant onboarding and express delivery.

Premium LPG service
Bharatgas Lite ZIP has been developed for customers seeking a premium LPG experience, with two key features at its core:
- Instant new connection, enabling customers to obtain a new LPG connection quickly through a simplified onboarding process.
- Express Delivery, ensuring LPG cylinders are delivered within four hours of placing an order.
The service also offers the established advantages of the Bharatgas Lite composite cylinder, including a lightweight design for easier handling, a corrosion-free composite body, a transparent outer body that allows users to monitor LPG levels, enhanced safety features, modern aesthetics and greater overall convenience.
Designed for modern consumers
According to BPCL, Bharatgas Lite ZIP has been specially designed for working professionals, students and the floating population who prioritise speed, convenience, reliability and seamless service.
The company said the new offering reinforces its commitment to innovation and customer-centricity by delivering a premium LPG experience that combines instant access, express delivery and enhanced convenience.
Nationwide rollout
Bharatgas Lite ZIP has initially been launched in 30 cities across the country. BPCL plans to extend the service to 70 additional cities across 24 states by August 15, 2026, taking its footprint to 100 cities. The company said the service will subsequently be expanded to all other major cities in India.
Launch event in Mangaluru
The innovative Bharatgas Lite ZIP 10-kg fibre composite LPG cylinder was officially introduced at a launch event held at the premises of Anupama Gas Distributors in Mangaluru. The programme was jointly organised by Anupama Gas Distributors and Kamadhenu Gas Agency.
As part of the inaugural event, the first batch of 10-kg composite LPG cylinders was handed over to 15 customers in the presence of more than 50 attendees, including BPCL officials.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Kumar Raina, territory manager (LPG), Bharat Gas Mangaluru, highlighted BPCL's commitment to delivering customer-focused, technology-driven solutions that improve everyday life.
Among those present were Darshit Malviya, manager sales, Bharat Gas Mangaluru; Ravishankar, retired Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Mangaluru; Dinesh Kumar Shetty, distributor of Kamadhenu Gas Agency; and Amrutha and Suresh Kumar from Anupama Gas Distributors.
The event was compered by Ganesh Prasad K of Gyan Events, Mangaluru, who welcomed the gathering and proposed the vote of thanks.
