Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society celebrates 80th Independence Day

Udupi, Aug 15: The 80th Independence Day of the country was celebrated meaningfully at Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society Limited, Udupi.

Former army officer Colonel (Dr) Francis E A Rodrigues hoisted the national flag and conveyed the message that every citizen should abide by the laws of the country and work towards the development and progress of the nation. On the occasion, he was felicitated on behalf of the society.

Society president Jayakar Shetty Indrali recalled the sacrifices and contributions of the freedom fighters and highlighted the importance of every citizen’s responsibility towards the development of the country. He called upon everyone to discharge their duties with honesty and a sense of responsibility.

Society general manager Rajesh V Sherigar welcomed the gathering. Assistant general manager Praveen Kumar delivered the vote of thanks, while Malpe branch manager Naveen K compered the programme.

Society vice-president George Samuel, Centenary Committee convenor Purushotham P Shetty, members of the Board of Directors, staff members, branch advisory committee members and daily deposit collectors were present and added significance to the programme.
