Over 51,000 beneficiaries removed from pension schemes, says DyCM G Parameshwara

Bengaluru, Aug 18: Deputy chief minister G Parameshwara, who also holds the revenue portfolio, has stated that 51,720 beneficiaries have been removed from the list of various social security pension schemes in the state.

Responding to a starred question raised by KGF Congress MLA Roopakala M, daughter of social welfare minister K H Muniyappa, Parameshwara explained the eligibility criteria for these benefits.

 

He noted that the annual income cap for availing social security pensions is set at Rs 12,000 for rural areas and Rs 17,000 for urban areas.
