Mangaluru, Sep 1: RACHANA – Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry organised its All Members Meet – ‘RACHANA Crypto Connect’ on August 29 at St Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Hall, Bendur, Mangaluru. The meeting brought together members, guests and business leaders for an informative session on digital assets and discussions on RACHANA’s upcoming trade exhibition.
The programme featured Roshan D’Souza, Crypto educator and Algo Trading developer, who conducted a presentation on cryptocurrency, digital assets and responsible trading. The session provided participants with an understanding of the rapidly evolving digital-asset landscape, along with the opportunities, risks and need for responsible practices while dealing with cryptocurrency.
The presentation was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session, enabling members to clarify their doubts and engage directly with the resource person.
Trade exhibition plans take shape
Another major agenda item was the presentation of the proposed RACHANA trade exhibition. Leslie Rego presented the exhibition plan for consideration and approval by the members.
The meeting also discussed the formation of various committees to undertake different responsibilities associated with organising the exhibition. Roy Castelino, president of RACHANA, coordinated the committee formation and emphasised the importance of teamwork and active participation by members.
The proposed trade exhibition is expected to provide a platform for businessmen, entrepreneurs, industries, manufacturers and service providers to showcase their products and services, build business connections and explore new opportunities.
Ivan D’Souza extends support for trade exhibition
The highlight of the event was the presence of Ivan D’Souza, MLC, Government of Karnataka, and past president of RACHANA.
Drawing from his extensive experience as a former convenor of ‘MAGNET’ – the global conference of business leaders, Ivan D’Souza appreciated RACHANA’s initiative and extended his full support for the proposed trade exhibition.
He assured the organisers that he would extend assistance wherever possible, including in coordinating with and obtaining support from various government agencies, which would be valuable in ensuring the smooth and successful conduct of the exhibition.
His experience in organising large-scale business events and his understanding of government processes were seen as significant assets for RACHANA as it prepares for the proposed exhibition.
CA Valerian Almeida, NRI from Dubai, who was also present at the meeting, shared valuable suggestions and practical advice for the successful planning and execution of the trade exhibition. His inputs, particularly from the perspective of the NRI business community, added further value to the discussions.
The meeting was convened by Ronald Gomes, while CA Vikram Jude Saldanha served as the compere. Alron Rodrigues, secretary of RACHANA, delivered the vote of thanks.
The all members meet concluded with a fellowship dinner and a renewed sense of enthusiasm among the members towards the upcoming trade exhibition.
