Karkala, Sep 5: The prestigious Christking Education Trust and Christking Educational Institutions have announced the recipients of this year’s ‘Christking Shikshakaratna’ and ‘Christking Kreeda Shikshakashree’ awards.

Balakrishna Naik, science teacher at Sundara Puranika Memorial Government High School, Pervaje, has been selected for the ‘Christking Shikshakaratna’ award in recognition of his contribution to education and teaching.

Meanwhile, Ananda Poojary, physical education teacher at Government Higher Primary School, Kolake Irvathur, has been selected for the ‘Christking Kreeda Shikshakashree’ award, presented to teachers for their contribution to physical education and sports.

The awards will be presented during the Teachers’ Day celebration to be held at the institution on September 5, according to a statement issued by the organisation.

The Christking Education Trust presents these awards annually to honour and recognise the dedicated services and contributions of teachers in the fields of education and sports.
