Kadaba, Sep 6: In a cinematic operation, the Kukke Subrahmanya police on Friday arrested three notorious criminals from Belagavi who had been absconding for the past month in connection with several cases, including robbery and honeytrapping.

The arrested individuals were wanted for various crimes registered under the Harugeri police station limits in Belagavi district. Following their crimes, they had managed to evade the authorities and go into hiding.

Recently, the police received credible intelligence that the trio had arrived in Kukke Subrahmanya. Acting swiftly on this information, the local station house officer and police personnel swung into action to track them down.

In a dramatic sequence of events, the police, with the active assistance of locals and autorickshaw drivers, set up a barricade by parking other vehicles across the road near the Kumaradhara river. They successfully intercepted the 'Toofan' multi-utility vehicle in which the accused were travelling and took all three of them into custody.

A police team from Belagavi, which had arrived in Subrahmanya specifically to apprehend the suspects, took custody of the arrested individuals. They have been transported back to Belagavi for further investigation and legal proceedings.
