Bantwal, Sep 7: Retired teacher Gladys Pais from Bantwal has brought laurels to the country by winning two medals at the World Masters Athletics Championships held in Daegu, South Korea.
Representing India at the prestigious championship held from August 22 to September 3, Gladys Pais delivered an impressive performance in the Women's 70–75 age category.
She clinched the silver medal in the triple jump and secured a bronze medal in the 200-metre hurdles, bringing pride to the country and the region.
Her remarkable achievement at the international championship has earned appreciation and recognition, with the retired teacher proving that age is no barrier to pursuing excellence in sports.
