Mangaluru, Sep 7: The Student Nurses Association (SNA) Council of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences (NUINS) organized a Teacher’s Day celebration on September 4 on behalf of the entire student fraternity, under the guidance of Vicky Priya, SNA advisor and Irene Rose Rojan, vice president SNA council under her leadership the programme was executed. The programme was held on the 3rd Floor of NUINS and was attended by all faculty members.

The celebration began with a warm welcome, where teachers were greeted with flowers as a token of gratitude. The invocation song was presented by Ann Sara. The occasion also included the felicitation of vice principal Prof (Dr) Sujatha on her new leadership role. Veeresh, lecturer, department of medical-surgical nursing, was congratulated for receiving the Best Teacher Award from Nitte University.

Addressing the gathering, principal Prof (Dr) Sabitha Nayak highlighted the significance of Teachers’ Day and acknowledged the invaluable contributions of teachers in shaping future healthcare professionals.

The programme concluded with cake cutting, fun-filled games that fostered interaction between teachers and students, distribution of gifts, and a heartfelt tribute by the students expressing their gratitude and best wishes to all teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
