Mumbai, Sep 18: Central Railway will operate an overnight traffic block at Titwala from 12.45 am on September 18 to 2.15 am on September 19 for tamping work on two points on the Up North East line, affecting several suburban services between Kasara and Kalyan.
The block will be undertaken for tamping of Point Nos 109 and 113B at kilometre locations 63/43 and 63/55 on the Up North East line.

The CSMT-Titwala locals departing CSMT at 11.16 pm and 11.42 pm, and the Titwala-Thane locals departing Titwala at 10.25 pm and 11.14 pm, will remain cancelled.
The Dombivli-CSMT local departing Dombivli at 10 pm and the Kalyan-CSMT local departing Kalyan at 10.06 pm will be short-terminated at Thane.
The last local for Kasara before the block on the Down North East line will leave CSMT at 12.08 am, while the last local for Titwala will depart CSMT at 10.50 pm. On the Up North East line, the last local for CSMT will leave Kasara at 10 pm and the last local for Thane will depart Asangaon at 11.08 pm.
Services will resume after the block. The first local for Kasara will leave CSMT at 4.19 am, while the first local for CSMT will depart Kasara at 3.51 am. The first Titwala-CSMT local will leave Titwala at 3.56 am.
Separately, Central Railway's Mumbai Division will operate special traffic and power blocks between Palasdhari and Khopoli every Thursday, Friday and Saturday for two months from September 18-19. The blocks will be carried out from 1.30 am to 4.30 am for track strengthening and renewal (TSR) work.
Suburban train services between Palasdhari and Khopoli will remain unavailable during the block period.
The Khopoli-Karjat local departing Khopoli at 12.30 am will remain cancelled, while the CSMT-Khopoli local departing CSMT at 11.18 pm will be short-terminated at Karjat.
The last CSMT-Khopoli local before the block will depart CSMT at 10.57 pm, while the last local from Khopoli will leave at 11.20 pm for Karjat.
After the block, the first Karjat-Khopoli local will depart Karjat at 5.43 am, while the first Khopoli-CSMT local will leave Khopoli at 4.50 am.
Central Railway said the blocks are necessary for infrastructure maintenance and passenger safety and appealed to commuters to cooperate with the railway administration.
