Mangaluru, Oct 19: Train services on the Konkan Railway network will revert to the non-monsoon timetable from October 21, bringing revised arrival and departure timings for several passenger services as seasonal safety restrictions are withdrawn.

The monsoon timetable, introduced on June 15, imposed speed restrictions along the Konkan Railway route as a precaution against rain-related mishaps. With the monsoon period ending on October 20, trains will return to their regular non-monsoon schedules from October 21.

Among the key changes are revised timings for the Matsyagandha Express, a major rail link between Mangaluru Central and Mumbai.

Train No. 12620, operating from Mangaluru Central to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai, will depart at 2.20 pm instead of 12.45 pm. In the opposite direction, Train No. 12619 will arrive at Mangaluru Central at 7.40 am, compared with its existing arrival time of 10.20 am.

The timings of the CSMT Express and Vande Bharat services will also be revised. Several other long-distance trains operating on the Konkan Railway network, including Rajdhani, Humsafar and weekly express services, will similarly return to their non-monsoon schedules.

Passengers travelling from October 21 onwards have been advised to check the revised train timings before setting out to avoid inconvenience. The changes will apply to trains departing from their respective originating stations from October 21.

Updated arrival and departure information can be accessed through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES). Passengers can also call the railway helpline on 139 for the latest schedule details.
