Bengaluru, Oct 19: The state government has extended the deadline for ration card beneficiaries to complete their mandatory e-KYC process to November 10. The previous deadline to complete the authentication was October 20.

The extension was announced after the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs mandated that 1,15,87,298 beneficiaries who had completed their e-KYC over a year ago must authenticate their details again. Furthermore, 3,82,362 beneficiaries who have never completed the process, and 54,27,396 individuals who did so over five years ago, are also required to verify their details.

Beneficiaries must strictly complete the e-KYC by November 10, either by doing it themselves through the 'Anna Seve' mobile app or by visiting fair price shops where authentication is done via the 'AHARA' software. The department warned that appropriate action will be taken as per regulations against those who fail to comply.

To assist ration card holders from Karnataka who have migrated to other states for employment, the 'Anna Seve' app is now accessible nationwide. The department has urged migrant workers to download the app and complete their e-KYC from their current locations.

Additionally, an updated version of the 'Anna Seve' app is now available on the Google Play Store, and existing users have been advised to update their application for a smoother experience.
