Hyderabad, Oct 25: Gautam Ghattamaneni, son of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, has given Nani's film The Paradise just one star on Letterboxd, criticising its editing, writing and overall execution.
Gautam's Letterboxd account recently became public, drawing attention from film fans who discovered his candid reviews of several movies. He had earlier rated Yash's upcoming film Toxic half a star and given some of his father Mahesh Babu's films ratings of just two stars.
Reviewing The Paradise, Gautam praised its cinematography and acting in emotional scenes but expressed disappointment with the rest of the film.

“I liked the cinematography and the acting in emotional scenes. I liked nothing else. Very disappointing. Also the editing was just atrocious,” he wrote.
After his Letterboxd profile attracted widespread attention and became a topic of news coverage a few months ago, Gautam initially removed its link from his Instagram bio. He has since added it back with a cheeky message on his profile: “Welcome to this apparently national news worthy page. I will try to live up to that,” accompanied by sobbing and victory-sign emojis.
Directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Ishan Saksena under Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Cinemas and IVY Entertainment, The Paradise stars Nani, Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni and Raghav Juyal.
The film is set in the 1980s and follows a community known as the Savaari as its members fight for citizenship and legal recognition. Sonali Kulkarni plays community leader Sammakka, while Nani portrays her son, Jadal. Mohan Babu appears as feudal overlord Shikanja Malik, with Raghav Juyal playing his son, Vikram Malik.
The story centres on the community's struggle against powerful individuals and a system that refuses to recognise its members despite their contributions. The film has faced criticism over its writing and execution and is available to stream on Netflix.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is working on filmmaker SS Rajamouli's upcoming film Varanasi, which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The project marks Rajamouli's next major film following RRR, released in 2022. Promotional material has hinted at a possible time-travel element in the story.
