Mangaluru, Oct 25: Marking a decade of community service, Aasare Geleyara Balaga Mangaluru (Regd.) will celebrate its 10th anniversary with ‘Aasare–Dasha Sambhrama–2027’ on January 26 at Jugal Hall, Mallikatte, Mangaluru.

The celebrations will feature the presentation of the ‘Aasare Krishi Ratna Award–2027’ to Rita Maria Menezes in recognition of her achievements in the agricultural sector.

Established in 2017, Aasare Geleyara Balaga has dedicated itself to community welfare through initiatives in education, healthcare, humanitarian service, co-operation and environmental conservation.

Supporting people in distress, extending educational assistance to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and fostering a sense of social responsibility among the public remain central to the organisation’s mission.

Honouring excellence in agriculture

Recognising agriculture as the backbone of society, the organisation aims to highlight the vital contribution of farmers to food security and rural economic development. By honouring individuals who have made notable achievements in agriculture, it also seeks to promote awareness of the importance of farming among future generations.

With this objective, the organisation has proposed conferring the ‘Aasare Krishi Ratna Award–2027’ on Rita Maria Menezes. Official details of her achievements and contributions to the agricultural sector will be obtained and presented during the felicitation ceremony.

The ‘Aasare–Dasha Sambhrama–2027’ celebration will thus mark a significant milestone in the organisation’s decade-long journey of community-oriented service, reaffirming its commitment to social welfare while providing a platform to recognise and honour achievers in agriculture.
