Mumbai, Apr 13 (IANS): After showing tragedy, popular television show "Uttaran" will take a romantic turn with protagonist Ichcha's daughter, Meethi, meeting her dream man in the soap.
Actor Gaurav S. Bajaj has been roped in to play the leading man, Aman. Though he first bumps into Meethi (Tina Dutta), later Mukta (Sreejita De) too gets attracted to him in the show.
"To get into the skin of the character, I have been insisting that everyone on the sets address me as Aman instead of Gaurav. He brings a certain level of joy and thrill to Meethi and Mukta's lives and I am sure that the audiences will appreciate Aman's personality and character," said Gaurav in a statement.
Originally from Indore, Gaurav moved to Pune to pursue further education.
He has been previously seen in shows like "Palkon Ki Chhaav Mein" and "Sapno Se Bhare Naina" and was also awarded the best newcomer award at the New Talent Awards in 2011.
