Mumbai: Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray Inaugurates ‘Media Cup Cricket–2012’

Mumbai, Apr 16: ‘Media Cup Cricket–2012’ tournament began at Central Railway Sports Association grounds, Parel (East), on Saturday April 14.

Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray inaugurated the tourney that was organized as a memorial to ‘Mid-Day’ crime reporter Jyotirmoi Dey who was slain by unidentified assailants in 2011.

Shiv Sena Youth Morcha president Aditya Thackeray, ‘Samna’, Marathi daily honorary editor Sanjay Raut, entrepreneurs Jitendra Gowda, P S Kunte, and S Choubhe were the chief guests on the occasion.

Media Sports Academy president Jawahar Nadar welcomed the gathering.  Honorary secretary Kelvin Joshua Udupi proposed the vote of thanks.  K Rajesh and other office-bearers honored the guests.

The tournament began with cricket teams of Zee TV vs NDTV Profit with Kelvyn Joshua of Zee TV batting.

Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal, convener Jaya C Poojary, Ramesh J Maroli, Harry R Sequeira, Rvi R Shetty, Ravindra Poojary, and Purandar Amin were also present on the occasion.

The cricket team of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh will be competing in the tournament for the second year.

Mumbai, Apr 16: The cricket team of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra ® won the first round at the ‘Media Cup Cricket–2012’ tournament that is underway at Central Railway Sports Association grounds, Parel (East), on Sunday April 15.

Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra ® is led by secretary Daya Sagar Chowta and teame members are Raghavendra Chandan, Chandrahas Mendon, Sa Daya, Ravindra R Shetty, Purandar Amin, Marnad Ravi Poojary, Gopal Trasi, Jayaram C Nayak, Suresh Shetty Yeyyady and Harry R Sequeira.

Sports Academy president Jawahar Nadar, honorary secretary Kelvin Joshua Udupi, organizers Rajesh Tiyagaraj and Navin K Inna were present.  Suresh Shetty Yeyyady and Jayaram C Nayak were the commentators.  Ronida Press Media Private Limited director Tara R Bantwal assisted the team.

    A few years ago I was against Shiv Sena for their anger/hatred towards Non-Maharashtrians. Now, after functioning of MRPL, I have realised why Shiv Sena is against Non-Maharashtrians.

    Is it in media most of them are from mangalore?. May be Uddhav wants to gain soft-corner towards mangaloreans. His son already blasted in St.Xavier's to gain momemntaum for the cause of 'amachi mathi amache manse'. Where is people from 'Sports Week-Mid day' Khalid Ansari - busy in Middle East and Trevor Manuel -Sub-Editor (Anglo-Indian).

    Crime reporter Jyotirmoi Dey have link with underworld people and even gone to meet drug baron Isamil Mirchi in UK.
