Bal Thackeray Alludes to Karnataka as a 'Snake'

Mumbai, Apr 16 (PTI): Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today alluded to Karnataka as a ''snake'' after expressing shock at Maharashtra Government's decision to share water with people in scarcity-hit districts in neighbouring Karnataka.

Thackeray also slammed the Congress-led government in Maharashtra, saying it has "betrayed" the state by its "shocking" decision on the water sharing issue.

"It seems that Maharashtra government has taken a contract to feed a snake. In Karnataka, immense atrocities are being heaped on Marathi-speaking people but our government has forgotten those atrocities and decided to share water with that state," Thackeray said, in an editorial in party mouthpiece Saamana.

"Not a drop of water should be given to Karnataka government which has always been unjust to Marathi-speaking populace there," he said.

Despite a long-drawn dispute over Belgaum issue, Maharashtra and Karnataka recently agreed to share water for the people in the dry districts of both the states.

Both the Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra and BJP government in Karnataka have agreed to do so keeping aside politics over the border issue.

Maharashtra government has agreed to release water from Dudhganga and Warna rivers to the border districts of Karnataka till the monsoon.

In return, Karnataka would release Almati backwater which can help overcome prevailing water scarcity in Jat taluka of Sangli district in western Maharashtra.

These decisions were taken at the meeting between the Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and a delegation of Karnataka ministers comprising agriculture minister Umesh Katti and industries minister Murugesh Nirani.

Two neighbouring states. BJP supported hindu leaders loyal to one party but still pass hatred against each other.
No wonder there was so many invasions on India. This it self shows that it is very easy to break india. If required, our leaders only will brake and give it to invaders.
We do not identify us as indians but we indentify us with our culture and languages.
Only god can save our country.

Isnt it a wonderful thing that Shri Thakre likes to anglicize his name like in William Makepeace Thackeray, the author of the famous classic novel Vanity Fair. It is not a Freudian slip but the secret desire of a snake who professes to be a Bharati but is awe of the British and gora log. A simple analysis would show Mr. Thakre was psychologically stunted in his teens and in awe of the British police that he saw around Bombay. Ever since he has been trying to secretly emulate them, by anglicizing his name and also resorting to the goondaisms and beating that the very same police inflicted ( atrocitities in Thakre's language) on the civil population of Mumbai during the Quit India movement of 1942.

BalTackaray gone mad and the agreement is for the best interest of the nation. His age may be the reason for venomous outburst against Kannadigas. He should be arrested under anti-national Act.His one line outburst spoils relationship between two sisterly boarder states further and how long we, Kanadigas tolerate his cheap political stunt. He is a coward who equated Kanndigas as SNAKE.In fact he is the venous snake of India. He is a threat to Indian Union I must say.
