Mumbai, Apr 23: The metro’s renowned Vastu Pandit Navinchandra Sanil will be conferred with the Karnataka state-level ‘Sourabha Prashasti –2012’, for his extraordinary achievement in his chosen sphere, stated the press release issued by M J Rao, editor, ‘Suma Sourabha’ Kannada fortnightly.
The Kannada fortnightly that is being published from Mangalore, Dakshina Kannada district, since the past two decades has been conferring the Prashasti on distinguished personalities for their extraordinary contributions in their respective spheres.
“The Prashasti will be awarded to Pandit Sanil in a ceremony scheduled to be held at the 21st cultural extravaganza at Town Hall, Mangalore, at 6.00 pm on Thursday April 26. Manophar Prasad, Mangalore bureau chief, ‘Udayavani’ Kannada daily, will be felicitated on the same occasion for his extraordinary services in journalism,” stated M J Rao.
Sanil is the son of freedom fighter late Rama B Sanil and Gulabi. He is the Vastu advisor for several temples in both Karnataka and Maharashtra. He is the alumnus of Kannada Bhavan School, Fort, and Lala Lajpatrai College.
Sanil served in the accounts department of the Indian Army for two decades. He is the recipient of ‘Vastu Vidhya Pandit’, ‘Vastu Visharada’, and ‘Vastu Martanda’ titles for his mastery over his chosen sphere.
