Mumbai: First Holy Communion Day at Mira Road

Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai

Mumbai, Apr 24: As many as 205 children received first Holy Communion at Joseph Church grounds here on Saturday April 21 at 5.30 pm.

The Church ground was exquisitely decorated for the occasion by the Sunday School teachers and the liturgy was also animated by them. The joy of welcoming Jesus into their lives and renewing their baptismal promises was evident in the cherubic smiles of the children. At the end Parish Priest Fr Dominic Vas thanked all those responsible for making the celebration an enriching experience.

The principal celebrant for the solemn Eucharist was his grace Stanislaus Fernandes, Archbishop of Gandhinagar along with Parish Clergy and other 10 guest priests. The theme chosen for this celebration was “Taste and see that the Lord is good”. Fr Gilbert D preached an inspiring homily to the children.
