Roma's Lamela Banned for Spitting

Rome, Apr 24 (IANS): AS Roma player Erik Lamela received a three-match suspension after a spitting accident during Sunday's Italian Serie A football match at Turin.

The Argentine midfielder spat at Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner after the Swiss international had taunted him towards the end of a game that Roma lost 0-4, Xinhua reported.

Lamela will miss the matches against Fiorentina, Napoli and Chievo, and will only be available for the capital club's final two league games of the season.
