Mumbai: Ryan Group Felicitates Fr Jose Aikara

Mumbai, Apr 26: Ryan International Group of Education Institutions organized a felicitation programme for Fr Jose Aikara, newly-appointed chairman, Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CFTISCE), at The ITC Maratha, Sahar International Airport Road, Andheri (East), on Tuesday April 24. 

Fr Aikara is the first south Indian, hailing from Kottayam in Kerala, to be appointed as chairman of CFTISCE. He has served in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa, and is well-known in India and overseas for being an educational expert.

Ryan International Group managing director Grace Pinto presided over the programme at 6.30 pm on Tuesday. ISCE chief secretary Gerry Arotan was the chief guest on the occasion.

Bollywood movie producer Imtiyaz Sheikh, AISM president Noreen, Paren S Bagli and Shan Bagli, Gayatri Devi Bangalore, and Arun Samuel were the special invitees present.

Bollywood comedy actor Johny Lever felicitated Fr Aikara during the programme.

Acknowledging the honour, Fr Aikara said that he had embodied discipline in his student life and was worshipping studies. He said that moral education has contributed immensely to his success in life and training is what matters in his new post. He urged all those who serve the education sphere to be disciplined and said that the Council gets strength from cordial relations among the educational institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Arotan said that marks are not everything in creating a better future for students and parents have to inculcate patriotism and cultural upbringing. 
 
Comedy king Johny Lever said that women play a vital role in the cultural upbringing of their children. Snehal Pinto welcomed the gathering and Sonal Pinto compered the programme.  Fr Joe D’Souza rendered the prayers.  RIGOI chief executive officer Ryan Pinto proposed the vote of thanks.
