Mumbai, Apr 27: Sixty-eight-year-old Sanjeev S Kanchan, executive president, Mogaveer Chamber of Commerce and Industry, vice-president of Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti–an NGO, Mumbai High Court lawyer, Mogaveer community veteran, former president of BJP advisory committee, and renowned social activist, passed away while at work on Friday April 27.
Sanjeev collapsed while he was on duty at the sessions court located in Elphinstone on Friday and was at once taken to Shafi Hospital located on Charni Road, and he breathed his last en route, informed family sources.
Mogaveer Mahajan Seva Sangh Bagwady Hobli Mumbai president Suresh R Kanchan, Purushottam Sriyan, chartered accountant M C Kanchan, and others arranged to take the dead body of Sanjeev to be placed at the morgue of Bhagavati Hospital in Borivali (West).
Sanjeev is survived by his wife Kamalakshi, two sons, and two daughters. Tulu Kannadiga Association representatives including Mogaveer Vyavastapaka Mandali Mumbai president Ajit G Suvarna,, Mogaveer Yuvak Sangh president Sadanand Kotian, Purushottam Sriyan, Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry founder president Vincent Mathias, Bombay Bunts Association president lawyer Ratnakar V Shetty, Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti founder president Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty and others condoled the demise of social activist Sanjeev Kanchan .
The funeral of Sanjeev will be held at 10.00 am on Sunday April 29 at the crematorium in Kandivali (West). The mortal remains of Sanjeev will be placed for public homage at his residence: 302, Kailas Tower, M G Road, Kandivali (West), informed family sources.
