Mumbai: ‘Arangetram’ of Bharatanatyam Dancer Priyanjali Rao on May 5

Mumbai, May 1: ‘Arangetram’ of Bharatanatyam dancer Priyanjali Rao will be held at Ravindra Natya Mandir, located behind Siddi Vinayak temple, Prabhadevi, Dadar (West), at 7.30 pm on Saturday May 5.

Dr Mijar Mohan Alva, chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri, will be the chief guest on the occasion.

Vedamurti Pernankila Haridas Bhat, chief of Ambika Adinateshwar Mahaganapati temple, Vidhyavihar (West), will be the guests of honour who will inaugurate the programme.

Priyanjali is the granddaughter of A B Rao and Tara B Rao and disciple of Revati Srinivas Raghavan.  She has been trained by Raghavan for the past 5 years.  She had already staged many dance shows during her study in Karnataka and Maharashtra.

Vidhya Ramaswamy Rao, a resident of Khar (West), urged art lovers across the metro to attend the Arangetram of Priyanjali in a press release.
