Mangalore: ‘Vijaya Karnataka’ Senior Sub-Editor Sitalakshmi Bags 7th Rank in MCJ

Mangalore, May 3: Sitalakshmi K V, a journalist working as senior sub-editor in ‘Vijaya Karnataka’ Kannada daily city bureau, bagged the seventh rank in Mass Communication and Journalism examination conducted by Mysore Open University in 2011.

Sitalakshmi had also secured a scholarship for her MA from Mangalore University  and earned doctorate from Hampi University for her thesis on “The Role of Women in Stories Authored by Masti”.  She bagged the ‘Bannanje Rama Acharya Award’ for journalists recently.

She is the daughter of renowned litterateur V Ga Nayak and Shyamala Karkikody.
