Compare me with my peers, not Anil Chachu: Arjun Kapoor

Mumbai, May 4 (IANS): Arjun Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of his first film "Ishaqzaade", knows it's inevitable but says that comparisons with his uncle Anil Kapoor would be an insult to his 'chachu's' body of work.

"If I get compared to Anil chachu, then it means I have achieved a lot already. But I don't think it's fair to compare me with Anil chachu because it's an insult to his body of work," Arjun, son of well-known filmmaker Boney Kapoor, told IANS.

"Today, he is in Hollywood and he has achieved what people only dream of. Comparisons are inevitable, but it should be of certain equality. Anil chachu is very superior. Comparisons should be done with my peers. I don't think it will create any pressure," he added.

The 26-year-old, who recently lost his mother Mona Kapoor, claims there is enough space for everybody in Bollywood.

"The industry has enough space for everybody to survive. That time is gone where everybody was fighting for No 1. Yes, the No 1 slot is there and the Khans ruled it for 25 years. If we survive for so long, then that itself would be an achievement," he said.

Directed by Habib Faisal, "Ishaqzaade" also features Parineeti Chopra. It is slated for a May 2 release.
