Kundapur: Prof Venkatesh Pai Gets ‘Karnataka Jyoti’ State Award

Kundapur, May 24: Professor Venkatesh Pai, a native of Kundapur taluk and convener of Kannada cultural programmes in Mumbai, was conferred with ‘Karnataka Jyoti’ state award during a function held in Bangalore, recently.  The Award was conferred in recognition of Prof Pai’s contribution to Kannada literature and culture in Mumbai. 


Dr Panchakshari Hiremat, chairman, Akhila Karnataka third poets’ convention, conferred the award in the presence of veteran movie actor Shivaram, renowned actor Roopika, and Ramesh Surve.  The convention was organized by Bharata Ratna Sir Vishweshwarayya Pratistan, Bangalore.
