Mumbai, Jun 6:
“Tulu–Kannadigas settled in the metro are well-bonded without blood-relation.  Wealth will not get an individual respect; instead selfless service will make him an extraordinary individual.  Bhaskar Sarapady served several community associations and theater groups disregarding caste, creed, and religion.  He has been loved by the people for this virtuous deed.  He has created a record in the construction of Kannada Sangh of Charkop in suburban Kandivali (West).  The cultural and social contributions of Bhasar Sarapady continue even after his retirement,” said Goregaon Karnataka Sangh president G T Acharya.

Acharya was speaking during the friendly meet organized by Kalajagattu cultural troupe at Pejavar Mutt, Santa Cruz (West), recently.

“‘Kalajagattu’ founder Vijayakumar Tonse said that Sarapady’s contributions to ‘Chinnarabimba’, children’s play troupe, during its early years are memorial.  The metro’s cultural sphere will indeed miss Sarapady’s mentoring,” said Vijayakumar.

Bhaskar’s wife Pushpa Sarapady, children Veena, Neha, and Koushik were present on the occasion.

Vijayakumar compered the programme.
