Mumbai, Jun 24: Hopes about releasing the new Sholay 3D movie the same day as the original movie release date are shattered because of the release of Salman Khans mega movie Ek tha Tiger.

The original Sholay was released on 15 august 1975 and Pen India Private limited, the 3D house involved in bringing out the latest version of the movie plans on releasing the movie on the same date this year.  Sholay was a movie which changed the hindi film industry in a variety of factors. It was the first of its kind “ masala film” which further went on to be a popular genre.
 
Ek Tha Tiger is a romantic thriller which is going to be Salman Khans most expensive films yet. According to Khans lucky streak with release dates and the festival of eid coinciding, the film is set to release in august which is the approximate time the festival occurs.
 
With such a megastar cast,sholay 3D producers have decided to postpone the release of their movie as they do not want to coincide and take a risk.
