Big B, Judi Dench to Launch Abu-Sandeep's Book in London

Mumbai, Aug 11 (IANS): Designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla are set to formally launch their book titled "India Fantastique" to celebrate their silver jubilee in the Indian fashion world. The book will be unveiled by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Hollywood icon Judi Dench in London next month, following its India launch here Aug 18.

Both the icons are regular clients of the duo.

While the book is already out in the stands, "we will be officially launching it in India on August 18," Khosla told IANS.

The India launch, by Big B and Nita Ambani, will take place at the Ambani house, while its London launch will take place Sep 5.

"After working for two and half years on this book, we are finally launching it. Abu and I thought long and hard about how we wanted to celebrate our milestone, and also about how we would use this celebration to set the vision for our creativity and ourselves in the next 25," added Khosla.

The book is a tribute to the fashion industry.

Its first volume displays dozens of the duo's designs over the past 25 years, including close-ups of exquisitely crafted details. The second volume focuses on their extensive work in exclusive interior design.

The book launch will be a part of a three-day Sotheby's exhibition of designer wear and interior decor by the celebrated designer duo in London.
