Mumbai: Shree Gurudev Seva Balaga Celebrates 13th Anniversary

Mumbai, Aug 14: The 13th anniversary of Shree Gurudev Seva Balaga was celebrated in a grand manner at Radhabhai T Bhandary Bunts Hall in Kurla (East) here on Sunday August 12.

Shree Guru Devanand Swamiji of Shree Dattaguru Viranjaneya Swami Kshetra Oditoor inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp. Shankar B Shetty, president of Bunt Sangha was the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, he said “We should organize activities which will benefit the society and this can be done by working together. In this manner we can contribute towards the betterment of the society and make Indian culture evidently known to everyone.”

On this occasion, Anand A Shetty, an active member of Shree Gurudev Seva Balaga was honoured for his service. Students who excelled in 2012 exams were also awarded by Swamiji.

President Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty, welcomed and Prakash Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.

Rajashekar Shetty and his wife Vaani Rajashekar offered paada puja of Swamiji. Later Prashanth Shetty, an artist sketched beautiful paintings of Lord Hanuman and Mahaganpathi which was offered to Guru Devanand Swamiji.

As an entertainment programme, Koti Chennaya, pre-historic play was staged by artists of Abhinaya Kala Mantapa.

Bolnadu Guttu Chandrahaas Rai, vice president, Diwakar Shetty, secretary, Bhoja Shetty, treasurer, Ravindra Shetty, Revathi Vamayya Shetty, secretary of Vajramath Mahila Vikas center and Chitra R Shetty shared the dais.

Dharmapaal U Devadiga, past president of Devadiga Sangha, LV Amin, president of Billawa Association, M G Karkera, past president of Saafalya Seva Sangha, Latha P Shetty, Narayan Shetty, Bhaskar Shetty among many others were present.
