Los Angeles, Aug 26 (IANS): Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt was injured on the sets of a movie when the stunt he was performing went wrong and had to receive 31 stitches.
The 31-year-old was flung through the rear window of a cab when his cycling stunt went wrong. The actor was filming amid real traffic for "Premium Rush".
His arm got injured, resulting in 31 stitches.
"The crash could have been a lot worse," blogtalkradio.com quoted Levitt as saying.
He attributes his reflex actions and boxing training that saved him from further damage.
"Got (his) elbows up, all the boxing training came in handy. Otherwise who knows what would've happened to my face," he said.
Directed by David Koepp, Levitt will be seen in the role of a New York bike messenger.
Earlier he featured in films like "Inception" and "The Dark Knight Rises".
