Bahrain, Sep 16 : For the first time since its formation, Bellevision Bahrain had the unique opportunity to celebrate Monti Fest, which was at Papillon Restaurant on 14th September with 140 crowed. One more great chance to show the unity and strengthen the BV family bond.

The celebration began at 12 noon with MC, Rony Pinto’s wonderful explanation of the importance of this family feast, followed by opening prayer from Mrs. Jovita and welcome dance by children choreographed by Hazel D’sa. President Kishore Dsouza in his address to the gathering expressed his happiness and applauded the support of his team. The newly bought statue of infant mother Mary, sponsored by Naveen Mendonca (BAPCO) and family was carried in procession by the President followed by children with flowers to offer Mama Mary.


































































































Assistant priest of Sacred Heart Church, Bahrain Rev. Fr. Freddy D’souza , the chief guest of the day invoked Mary’s blessings on all. Under the guidance of Joel D’sa and his choir team, children showered flowers and indeed it was a spectacular moment. Master Rynal D’souza budding keyboard player provided the music for the event. Milk mixed with blessed rice grains (NOVEM), juice and cake was served to all.

The gathered crowd was entertained with skit “Monti Fest” written by Naveen Mendonca (BAPCO)   was heart touching and laughter buster.  The other skit “Vokabo Caterers”  Performed by Joel D’sa, Arun, Preetham, and Arun Castelino. Kushi Shetty, Ivan Sequiera, Shaun Dsouza, Ronald Fernandes and Thomas Fernandes entertained the crowd with  Konkani and Hindi songs. Sophia and Elroy danced to the tune of Chanawali. September month observes the celebration of Teachers’ day, the two eminent teachers at Bellevision Bahrain, Mrs. Veera Fernandes and Mrs. Benedicta Saldanha were honored on this occasion. The member sponsors of food items and those who helped in arranging the event to their best were all honored.

Housie housie was conducted by Sunil D’sa assisted by Ashton Castelino. Secretary Rashmi Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. 

The yummy vegetarian food was all sponsored and prepared by the members. John D’souza under his proficient leadership took the in-charge of the catering and was duly assisted by his team throughout the celebration.  The catering team identified with having worn Bellevision Bahrain T-shirts was yet another eye-catching scene.  Food was served on banana leaves and comprised of 14 vegetarian delicacies (rice, sambar, pickle, cucumber raitha, pathrade, alun dento, ladies finger, bitter gourd, beans, pineapple dish, tendli with channa, moong and potato, buttermilk and vorn). Sugarcane was distributed to children. Children were also given gift hampers which were sponsored by Edward D’sa & Fly. The entire event was very well coordinated by Steven Lobo through his constant efforts and was much cherished by one and all.

It was indeed a most successful event by the full cooperation of entire Bellevision committee members, coordinators and volunteers. One more feather added to our Bellevision Cap.
