Los Angeles, Sep 19 (IANS): Singer Angelina Jolie has reportedly been honoured for her humanitarian work by Iraqi's foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari.
Jolie, 37, met the minister in Baghdad, Saturday, and was presented with a red box containing a symbolic gift, reports contactmusic.com.
The actress urged the minister to ensure that Syrian refugees have enough supplies. As part of her tour for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Angelina also met displaced Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon.
"I am grateful to Jordan and the border countries for saving the lives (of those) who are dying in Syria. It's an extraordinary thing. We encourage the international community to support the people here until one day they go back home," she said during her visit to the camp.
