Los Angeles, Sep 21 (IANS): Singer Britney Spears is reportedly battling skin condition psoriasis.

The singer's return to the spotlight with "The X Factor" has caused Spears to break out in psoriasis, reports showbizspy.com.

"Britney has had the skin condition for a long time, but it only flares up when she's under extreme pressure," showbizspy.com quoted a source as saying.

"Now she can't seem to stop scratching and picking at the sores. She has a psoriasis skin cream, but she says it burns, so she stopped using it," added the source.

Meanwhile, Spears, 30, is worried people are making fun of her on the sets of "The X Factor". The pressure of being a judge is already getting to the pop diva.

"Britney had a chance to watch herself judging 'The X Factor' and she's really self conscious about it.

"She's terribly nervous and thinks people are laughing at her and making fun of the way she talks. She's trying her best not to be so nervous, but she can't help it," said the source.

She has got a lot of support. Her fiance, Jason Trawick, is constantly by her side and backstage at many of the recordings.
