Los Angeles, Sep 22 (IANS): Socialite Nicole Richie says she wants her children to spend maximum time at home, unlike her childhood days when she spent a lot of time on the road, travelling with her father, singer Lionel Richie.
Nicole has children Harlow, 4, and 3-year-old Sparrow with rocker husband Joel Madden.
"One of the biggest differences in the way I'm raising my kids versus the way I was raised is that I was on tour a lot. I don't really do that with my kids," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Richie as saying.
"It's important to me that they have stability. I like them to be home," she said.
However, the 30-year-old, who has previously battled drug addiction, says there was nothing wrong with the way she was raised by Lionel and her mother Brenda.
"I was taken out of school and had tutors. By the time my father went onstage, I was asleep. There's no right or wrong way to raise a family," she said.
