Hike in Diesel Prices was Required: ArunShourie

Bhopal, Sep 23 (PTI): Even as the BJP has strongly opposed the Centre's decision to hike diesel prices and allow FDI in retail, senior party leader and former Union Minister Arun Shourie justified the move saying it was the need of the hour.

"Increasing diesel prices was the need of the hour," Shourie, who had come here to participate in a seminar, told reporters last evening.

A lot of hue and cry is being raised unnecessarily on the issue of FDI in retail as this will neither lead to profit nor losses, the BJP leader said.

"Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has for the first time shown his strength," he added.

BJP is not like Congress to expel people for speaking their mind, particularly which is in national interest.
In principle, BJP would have done exactly what PM has done - regarding FDI and diesel price hike.

There should be a master to lead the country. If there are many masters the country will divide it from these masters with divided opinions and divided rulings.

Can a blind lead the blind?! Never. Both will fall in to some where else.
Why people are not voting to BJP and it is in opposition since 60 years?! In 5 yearsterm NDA shined in western world, not in India. Indian Territory was never occupied by Pakistan in the history of congress/UPA except in the NDA/BJP rule.
BJP IS DEVIDED IN POLICY MAKING AND CHOOSING ITS PRIME MINISTER. BJP IS RELUCTANT TO KOTEWAALI DANCER MRS. SUSHMA SWARAJ, COMMUNAL MR. MODI AND NITISH TO SURVIVE IN MINORITY VOTES.

The BJP knows that the UPA has stolen thunder out of them. They do not have any issues related to governance and never had any even otherwise. Slowly the truth is comming out, in spite of Yashwant Sinha's baby tears. He was hoping to win the elections next time and become the FM and announce FDI in retail and aviation, but now since the UPA has already done it and with the BJP without any chance of comming to power, the poor guy is crying like a child. One of these days he will surely have a breakdown along with Modi, Irani, Sushma and the other gang members
