Bear Kills Man in Siberia

Moscow, Sep 25 (IANS/RIA Novosti): A man was killed in Russia's east Siberia region when a wild bear attacked a geologists' camp site, police said Monday.

"The hunter attached to the camp then shot the bear dead," police said.

The animal attacked the camp, causing panic among the campers, and damaging the geologists' equipment and tents.

Bears in Siberia are facing reduced habitat and food sources due to this summer's forest fires.
