Mumbai, Oct 7 (IANS): Southern star Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is making his Bollywood debut with "Aiyyaa" opposite actress Rani Mukerji, feels producer Anurag Kashyap allows his director creative freedom to show their skill sets.
Releasing Oct 12, "Aiyyaa" is directed by Sachin Kundalkar and Prithviraj said: "Anurag is fantastic. He is the kind of producer who completely trusts the director. Once he decides to back a project, he completely supports it."
"He is not the kind of producer wanting to make his own film out of it. He picks up a film wanting to make the filmmaker's film out of it. That is the kind of producer you want," added the actor who has produced some Malayalam films.
Kashyap, 40, is known for directing "Black Friday", "Dev D", "Gulaal", "That Girl in Yellow Boots" and "Gangs of Wasseypur".
Besides "Aiyyaa", his upcoming production ventures include "Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana" and "Chittagong".
Releasing Oct 12, "Aiyyaa" is about a Marathi girl Meenakshi Deshpande (Rani) falling in love with Tamil artist Surya (Prithviraj).
