Los Angeles, Oct 24 (IANS): Singer Mick Jagger is set to team up with producer Brian Grazer for the biopic of legendary soul singer James Brown.
According to deadline.com, Jagger and Grazer will produce the biopic, which will be directed by Tate Taylor.
Taylor says that he's been hoping to make the James Brown biopic because he was "one of the most electric, exciting stage performers of all time."
Jagger added: "It's a great honour to be involved with a project as rich as the story of the legendary James Brown. He was a mesmerising performer with a fascinating life."
The team is now hunting for the right actor to play the late legendary musician. The film will follow Brown's story as a young boy who was raised with extreme poverty and violence and later became the Godfather of Soul.
Brown was actively involved in the development of the project before he died in 2006.
"I am deeply honoured that Mick Jagger and Brian Grazer, two of my husband James Brown's favourite people, have entered into a partnership to bring his inspirational story to the big screen," said Brown's widow Tommie Rae Brown.
