Chennai, Nov 15 (IANS): Telugu producer N.V. Prasad feels his upcoming romantic comedy "Mr. Pelli Koduku", a Telugu remake of Bollywood hit "Tanu Weds Manu", will be superior than the original.
"We are confident that our film will be better than the original. We've presented the story in such a way that it appeals to all sections of the audience. (Actor) Sunil's character will be very crucial to the success of the film," Prasad told IANS.
Comedian-turned-actor Sunil will reprise the role, played by R. Madhavan in the original, in the Telugu remake. Isha Chawla will step into the shoes of the role originally essayed by Kangana Ranaut.
Directed by Devi Prasad, "Mr. Pelli Koduku" also features Ali, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, L.B. Sriram, A. Prasad and M.S. Narayana.
The film is jointly produced by N.V. Prasad and Paras Jain, and will be presented under the banner of Super Good films.
S.A. Rajkumar has composed the music for the film, which has cinematography by Sameer Reddy.
The film is currently in the post-production phase.
